This lesson is part of the series: College Algebra

In this lesson you will learn how to obtain the roots of the box (or cube or other roots, for that matter) on the denominator part without changing the value of sport to break. This process is called "rationalization" denominator. Mathematicians agree that the proper fractions should not be signs of a radical in the denominator, so when you end up with an answer that was radical in the denominator, it is best to rationalize (as will your response is incorrect or does not appear as an option if you do not).
